Behind its unassuming entrance lies a vast military complex with kilometers of corridors, underground living quarters, bunkers, and artillery turrets. During your visit, you\u2019ll discover how young soldiers lived here and how the fort was designed to defend the Belgian border.  <\/p>\n<p>On May 10, 1940, the fort became the scene of an unprecedented military operation. German soldiers landed on the roof of the complex in gliders.
