The Caestert Passerelle connects two marl cliffs above the Albert Canal. As you cross, you\u2019ll look out over the water and the rugged landscape of the Caestert Plateau from a height of about fifty meters.  <\/p>\n<p>The bridge is part of a landscape that has been shaped over the centuries by nature and marl quarrying. Sunken roads, steep cliffs, old quarries, and limestone houses give this region its very own character. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"dzs-full dzs-soft\">\n<div class=\"dzs-wrap dzs-grid\" style=\"display: block; max-width: 940px;\">\n<div>\n<h2>A brisk walk full of variety<\/h2>\n<p>From the Vroenhoven Bridge, a signposted walking trail of about 17 kilometers leads to the Passerelle. Along the way, you\u2019ll discover Kanne, the Cannerbos, Ch\u00e2teau Neercanne, the Caestert Plateau, and the area around Fort Eben-Emael, among other sights. <\/p>\n<p>Kanne is a great place to stop along the way.
